Frequently Asked Questions

The trance element of the hypnotherapy session is a very natural state. We all go in and out of trance many times during the day. Have you ever driven a regular route and then wondered how you got there? Or perhaps been washing the dishes and drifted off into a daydreaming state? Well this is trance. The way that we induce this state in our hypnotherapy sessions is by reading you language patterns that are specifically designed to get you drifting and dreaming. Whilst in this state, your subconscious is receptive to suggestions and can go to work on your goals.

It is important to remember that the hypnotherapist cannot make you do something that you don't want to do.

All sessions are held online using Google Meet. You don't need any fancy equipment or software. Just an email address along with a phone, tablet, laptop, or PC. You will also need somewhere private where you can relax during the session.

Online hypnotherapy has been shown to be as effective as face to face.

The Initial Consultation typically takes 35-60 minutes.

General hypnotherapy sessions typically take 45-60 minutes.

Smoking cessation sessions typically take 90-120 minutes.

Everyone is different so it's hard to put an exact number on this, however the usual number of sessions is 8-12 for general sessions.

Phobias are usually dealt with in 4 sessions.

Smoking cessation is a one off longer session.

During a typical hypnotherapy session,  we will spend the first part discussing what you would like to achieve, and looking at how the brain works and relating this to your situation. You will then be guided into a state of deep relaxation called trance during which your brain will have the opportunity to go to work on your goals.

Yes, virtually anyone can be hypnotised as long as they're willing to be hypnotised and have the cognitive ability to follow instructions. As with any kind of therapy, results may vary.

The most important thing to remember is that as a Client, your commitment to the process is required in order to achieve the best results.
